Con el apoyo de los dirigentes municipales, el Sr. Greehey puso en marcha la iniciativa de crear Haven for Hope como una organizaci\u00f3n independiente sin \u00e1nimo de lucro 501(c)3. El modelo \u00abintegral\u00bb de Haven for Hope surgi\u00f3 tras 18 meses de investigaci\u00f3n en m\u00e1s de 200 refugios para personas sin hogar de todo el pa\u00eds.  <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Antes de que existiera Haven for Hope, muchas organizaciones de San Antonio prestaban alg\u00fan tipo de ayuda a las personas sin hogar; sin embargo, sus servicios estaban geogr\u00e1ficamente dispersos y, desde el punto de vista administrativo, desconectados entre s\u00ed. Esta fragmentaci\u00f3n de los servicios afectaba a las personas sin hogar de muchas maneras. La falta de un transporte fiable limitaba su acceso f\u00edsico a los servicios, que estaban repartidos por toda la ciudad, y los tediosos tr\u00e1mites burocr\u00e1ticos a menudo se repet\u00edan entre las distintas agencias, que ten\u00edan que recabar la misma informaci\u00f3n. Al reunir a los proveedores de servicios \u2014tanto en un mismo lugar como mediante la colaboraci\u00f3n\u2014, Haven for Hope mejor\u00f3 la accesibilidad y la eficiencia de los recursos, y elimin\u00f3 los tr\u00e1mites burocr\u00e1ticos que antes imped\u00edan que las personas sin hogar pudieran recibir ayuda.   &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>El campus entr\u00f3 en pleno funcionamiento en junio de 2010. El Sr. Greehey sigue participando activamente en Haven for Hope y ocupa el cargo de presidente em\u00e9rito del consejo de administraci\u00f3n.
