We care about the safety of our volunteers
After thoughtful and careful consideration Haven for Hope has made the decision to suspend all volunteer activities throughout the Haven for Hope campus. This suspension of volunteers includes all individual volunteers, group volunteers, Soul Friends, and church congregations. We miss our volunteers greatly, but their safety and the safety of our clients is our number one priority.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Haven for Hope. Below is information about volunteering with Haven for Hope.
Please note volunteers must show a valid form of identification upon arrival.
Haven for Hope offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. We ask any potential volunteers to take a tour of our campus prior to volunteering.
Tours last approximately 90 minutes and include a walking tour of our campus (wheelchair accessible). Tours begin at the Carlos Alvarez Volunteer Center located at 1 Haven for Hope Way, San Antonio, TX. 78207. Space for tours is limited. Click Register For A Tour or email us for more information.
Please email or call the Volunteer Office to register for a tour:

After receiving your application and background check, a staff member of Haven for Hope will call you to discuss your schedule and volunteer opportunities.
