Coronavirus (COVID-19) Community Advisory

*UPDATE – 03-25-2020 REGARDING TEMPORARY INTAKE CLOSURE

Consistent with CDC guidance and due to the Stay at Home Order, Haven for Hope will temporarily close its Intake department.

Intake will remain open during normal business hours until 3 pm on Thursday, March 26 to allow additional people experiencing homelessness to enter Haven for Hope before the closure.

This is an important and necessary measure to protect the health and safety of Haven for Hope clients and its essential employees and partners.  The temporary closure is also required to maintain essential operations and provide continued care and support for the many men, women, and children who currently call Haven for Hope home.

Current updates regarding Volunteers, Tours & Donations may be found under the SUPPORT tab at the bottom of the landing page.

In light of the recent media focus regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) , Haven for Hope would like to share some important information with our dedicated supporters. We recognize there may be some questions and concerns regarding how Haven for Hope is addressing concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Haven for Hope has been closely monitoring all information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Haven for Hope staff have met with several health professionals including Metro Health. With guidance from these health professionals, Haven for Hope has taken several steps to mitigate any risks presented by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Haven for Hope follows rigorous cleaning procedures including multiple cleanings of Haven buildings throughout the day. Health professionals have also advised consistent hand washing, limiting physical contact such as handshakes and hugs, providing accessible hand sanitizer throughout the campus and avoiding accessing the campus if feeling ill.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and following the advice of the local, state and federal authorities, which can be found at the following links below:
